I used to know Charles Darwin
I called him CD once or twice
I met him horse riding
And joined in the chiding –
His theories were not very nice!
He caused quite a schism
A great cataclysm
Between science and church on this planet
He said Homo Sapes
Were related to Apes
And tomatoes to fresh pomegranates!
To some he’s a Champ
To others a tramp
A trumpeter of wild theories –
But now I can see –
As I swing from this tree –
He was right – do you have any queries?
