Rain

This was written in the summer a couple of years ago - but it's almost equally appropriate now!

RAIN –

It’s rained for days It’s rained for nights
It’s rained like this before
Does anybody know a way
To get in touch with Noah?
It’s rained all day, it’s rained all night
It’s rained in light and dark
Can someone ring that feller Noah?
We really need an Ark.
For forty days and forty nights
It’s pelted dogs and cats
It’s washed away our brollies and it’s
Washed away our hats.
It’s rained on me, it’s rained on you
On people of all types
How can it be that way down South
They’re standing by their pipes?
